ABB Inc.ABB Inc., the U.S. arm of global technology company ABB, pledged $100,000 to the American Red Cross. The company is a supplier of press drives, controls, and production management software for newspapers.
The company will also match employee contributions to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund.
AdOneAdOne, the online classifieds provider based in New York, is collecting donations on behalf of The Children's Aid Society, which is for the children of victims. So far, $27,000 has been raised.

BeloDallas-based Belo said its media subsidiaries throughout the country are working with the American Red Cross and other partners to organize disaster relief funds. The company said it will match contributions made by its employees and retirees on a dollar-for-dollar basis.
The company's philanthropic arm, The Belo Foundation, has separately made a contribution of $250,000 to the American Red Cross.
Donrey Media GroupThe newspapers of Donrey Media Group, Little Rock, Ark., raised over $65,000 for victims of the attacks, according to a report in
The Morning News of Northwest Arkansas. Sales of all single-copy editions of Donrey newspapers on Saturday were donated to rescue funds for firefighters and policemen in New York City and Washington, D.C., according to the report.
Dow Jones & Co.Dow Jones said it will donate $1 million to relief funds for the families of emergency workers. In a memo to employees, CEO Peter Kann said many Dow Jones employees were assisted by these workers during the attack.
The company will also match employee contributions up to $2,000 to organizations providing direct relief to victims, up to an aggregate of $500,000.
Gannett Co. Inc.Gannett Co. Inc. said it will support the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund in all of its U.S. newspapers, on its Internet sites, and television stations. The program will have an estimated value of $4 million in cash and media value.
The Gannett Foundation also continues to match employee contributions to the Red Cross and other relief organizations.
Hearst Corp.The Hearst Corp. said it will match individual employee gifts to the American Red Cross and the New York City Public/Private Initiatives, which aids the families of emergency personnel and other New York City employees involved in the rescue efforts.

Daily News, in concert with the Salvation Army, sponsored a drive for supplies for rescue and recovery workers at the World Trade Center site. Publisher David L. Smith reports that a 60-foot trailer was filled with nonperishable foods, bottled water, work gloves, hard hats, and other supplies. In addition, local residents gave over $3,000 in cash for the effort.
Lee EnterprisesLee Enterprises of Davenport, Iowa, said the Lee Foundation will match donations by Lee newspapers and employees on behalf of victims of the terrorist attacks. The foundation is also making an initial contribution of $50,000 to the American Red Cross.
Lee said it will match donations up to $5,000.
Media GeneralMedia General of Richmond, Va., is contributing to the disaster relief efforts in New York and Washington. "On behalf of and in the name of the 8,000 employees of Media General Inc., the company is making a contribution of $100,000 to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund," said J. Stewart Bryan III, chairman and CEO.
Meredith Corp.Meredith Corp., publisher of
Better Homes and Gardens and other magazines, is matching employee contributions to relief efforts. So far, $40,000 has been collected.

Daily News has created a special fund to aid the families of police, fire, and EMS workers who perished in the tragedy. Contributions will be distributed through the Widow's and Children's Fund of the Police Department, Widow's and Children's Fund of the Fire Department, and the Emergency Medical Services Command Memorial Foundation.

The campaign is being managed by The New York Times Neediest Cases Fund, which will, as with the annual Neediest Cases campaign, cover all administrative costs.
Contributions will be accepted through Oct. 11 and then be allocated to the seven social service agencies, plus three foundations representing the uniform services.
The Times Co. reported Wednesday that over $8 million has been raised so far.

ReutersThe Reuters Foundation has launched AIDfund for America to collect donations from the general public, Reuters customers, and Reuters staff. The Reuters Group donated $1 million to the fund.
Tribune Co.Chicago's Tribune Co. and the McCormick Tribune Foundation have created a Disaster Relief Fund to assist emergency service agencies. The Foundation will contribute $2.5 million in matching funds to the effort.
