By: E&P Staff Eight of the nine Democratic candidates plan to participate in live online forums sponsored by washingtonpost.com and the
Concord (N.H.)
Monitor.
"For most Americans, this may be the only opportunity to ask questions directly of the top candidates running for president," said Christopher M. Schroeder, CEO and publisher on Washingtonpost.Newsweek Interactive, in a statement.
"Conversation with the Candidates" will take place the week of Nov. 3, with each candidate appearing in individual sessions for up to an hour. A moderator will select questions for the candidates from washingtonpost.com and concordmonitor.com users.
Washingtonpost.com will host the discussions, which will also be available at the
Monitor's concordmonitor.com and primarymonitor.com.
Both newspapers plan to promote the Web chats online and in print.
