Newsroom Reorganization at The Seattle Times: Creation, Curation, Community

In 2009, Time Magazine suggested that Seattle could become the first major US city without a daily newspaper. Now, The Seattle Times has gone from being the eighth-read to the second-read newspaper on the West Coast of the USA.

The paper has increased its reach, circulation revenue and website traffic, as well as circulation, says Executive Editor David Boardman, even among the young. Two-thirds of 18-34 year-olds read the paper in some format, he adds.
