Newstec Acquires Assets of TMSI

By: E&P Staff Newstec, of Walpole, Mass., a supplier of remanufactured straight-line inserters and new post-press controls (Newscom and related modules), announced Oct. 12 that it signed a letter of intent to buy the assets of Total Mailroom Systems (TMSI) of Georgia LLC, with closing expected next week.

With the acquisition of TMSI and its Compass stacker and press delivery systems, 6-year-old Newstec says it will provide turnkey systems from the press folder to delivery truck.

In addition to highlighting the resulting expanded product offerings and new technologies, Skip Connors and Mike McGeady, presidents of Newstec and TMSI, respectively, said that the deal supports strong customer service.
