Newsweek Owner Hit by Newspaper Guild

Newsweek employees who stayed with the magazine after last month's sale to IBT Media have found themselves under a much more rigorous set of guidelines than they were previously used to at IAC/InterActivCorp.

According to the "The International Business Times Employee Handbook," a copy of which was obtained by POLITICO, employees are prohibited from speaking negatively about their employer -- a rule that the New York Newspaper Guild calls a violation of U.S. labor law.
