Nieman Report on Editorial Cartooning Appears

By: E&P Staff A new Nieman Reports issue on editorial cartooning features articles by 14 leaders in the field. It also includes pieces on the decrease in staff jobs, what publishers think of editorial cartoons, why cartoons have less influence than they used to, the importance of local cartooning, why there are so few female editorial cartoonists, and other topics.

Cartoonists wrote 14 of the 18 articles. They are Jeff Danziger, Matt Davies, Mark Fiore, Steve Kelley, Doug Marlette, Pat Oliphant, Joel Pett, Bruce Plante, Ted Rall, Scott Stantis, Ed Stein, Ann Telnaes, J.P. Trostle, and Signe Wilkinson.
