No Ruling Yet on Streisand Estate Photos

By: (AP) A ruling on whether online photos of Barbra Streisand's Malibu estate violate the entertainer's privacy is expected at a later date, a lawyer in the case said.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Allan Goodman had promised a decision by Monday. Attorneys in the dispute between Streisand and photographer Kenneth Adelman completed closing arguments in the case last month.

Adelman's attorney, Richard Kendall, said the judge may fax his decision to attorneys later. The judge's clerk gave no indication when the ruling would come.

Streisand filed a $10 million lawsuit against Adelman in May. The 61-year-old singer claimed the retired Silicon Valley entrepreneur has potentially worsened an existing problem with stalkers by posting photos of her estate on the Internet. The photos allegedly include details that aren't visible from a public vantage point.

Adelman says he posts the photos, taken from a private helicopter, for scientific research on the coastline. He has posted more than 12,000 photos on his California Coastal Records Project Web site.
