Posted
By: E&P Staff North Jersey Media Group has purchased Aim Action News and Aim Community News from Newfoundland, N.J., publisher Aim Action Ads. Terms of the deal, which occurred on Dec. 2, were not disclosed.

The weekly Aim Action News serves Passaic, Morris, and Sussex counties in New Jersey and was distributed on Wednesdays. Under the New Jersey Media group, the distribution day has changed to Fridays but it will continue to cover the counties under a new banner, Aim of West Milford Township, Aim of Jefferson Township, and Sussex Shopping.

Suburban Trends, a paid biweekly, covers the area of the paid Sunday publication Aim Community News.

Mike Lawson, vice president/publisher, manages the weeklies in Passaic, Morris, and Sussex. "Former Publisher Joe Deery and his staff built a great readership with a recipe for gritty journalism and popular, interactive reader features like 'The Thumbs Tell It.'" Lawson said in a statement. "We look forward to building on the base established over the last 15 years."
