'Noticias Libres' of Fayetteville, Ark., Names New Editor

By: E&P Staff Noticias Libres, a Spanish-language newspaper based in Fayetteville, Ark., has named Francisco Ayala Silva as managing editor. The weekly paper, published by Arkansas Democrat-Gazette Inc., is distributed throughout Northwest Arkansas and McDonald County in southern Missouri.

Most recently, Silva was a correspondent based in Kensington, Md., for El Diario de Hoy, a newspaper in El Salvador. He has also been a freelancer for Aqui y Alla, a television magazine show produced for a station in Central America and the Washington, D.C., area, as well as a reporter and photographer for a sister publication of The Washington (D.C.) Times, Tiempos del Mundo.
