By: E&P Staff Montreal-based supplier of online publishing solutions Nstein Technologies Inc. has created a partner program for system integrators and developers that it will initially present at www.nstein.com/partner and formally introduce at its May user conference.

Nstein technology is aimed at publishers that need to integrate legacy content sources without sacrificing the ability to exploit XML enrichment and publishing technology that is core to Nstein applications.

To launch the program, Nstein Technologies hired Douglas Liles, formerly responsible for Quark Inc. strategic business development and partner relations. Built on service-oriented architecture standards, Nstein applications provide "rich APIs to enable partners to adapt the platform for specific customer needs or even create turnkey content workflows for specific-use cases," Liles said in a statement.

"Having partners that are able to add unique value to our core media, entertainment and publishing markets is a key element in our strategy for migrating our clients' assets and workflows from a single channel for print to one that is completely unified for print, online, mobile and other syndicate media outlets," Nstein President and CEO Luc Filiatreault said in announcing Liles' appointment.

Liles called Nstein's XML-based publishing platform a "tremendous advantage for Web developers who do not have core XML expertise, but want to provide publishers multichannel delivery capabilities and compelling online properties with stickier user-experience."

Besides sales, technical and training support, Nstein provides partners with the documentation and APIs needed for successful deployments. It said its new program is designed to see that partners benefit financially while offering clients proven content management solutions.
