By: E&P Staff Nstein Technologies Inc. in Montreal has released WCM 4.0, which, based on publisher feedback, is designed to increase editorial productivity by providing intuitive tools for the creating and managing complex sites and microsites.

The role-based interface for editorial teams features multi-site/multi-channel content management, out-of-the-box conversion and import of content from popular XML formats, role-based configurable editorial dashboards that mirror physical workflows, automatic search/association of assets, on-the-fly content association, real-time semantically generated tags and metadata, advanced XML site search, topic clustering, most-rated, most-viewed stories, and a search engine optimization toolkit for keyword density, friendly URLs, and optimized HTML structure.

The Nstein WCM (Web Content Management) is an editorial system designed with an architecture based on open-source and LAMP technologies. Plug-ins and templates allow rapid creation of Web sites, newsletters, mobile sites, and microsites. It tightly integrates Nstein's Text Mining Engine to automatically generate semantic tags, allowing editors to quickly associate content to the appropriate consumer. Presented with this associated content, readers remain on a site longer, consuming more pages.

WCM's user interface allows content experts to manage content from creation to distribution. Built-in tagging and metadata management allow easy content association and bundling. Open design allows integration with virtually any new type of content modules (Facebook, Twitter, forums, blogs, wikis) and other content-management systems.

WCM 4.0 integrates with TME and Nstein's digital asset management system, enabling on-the-fly semantic tagging and semantic association of stories.
