The video editing app maker Videolicious and New York Daily News have formed a rare kind of working partnership, with a Videolicious journalist producing top-notch footage for the newspaper’s website and the software company getting material for an instructional library in return.

Under the collaboration, which has been in place for more than a year, two Videolicious employees, both videographers, work full-time in the Daily News newsroom, going out on assignments in the way regular staffers would, says Videolicious Co-Founder Matt Singer.
