A new navigation bar link on Salon.com takes users to a cobranded page of NYTimes.com/jobmarket. That page offers career-related editorial from
The New York Times, research tools, job listings, and resume posting.
The
Times is paying for the placement on Salon, which claims a national audience of upscale, at-work users, according to a Salon Media Group spokesman.
The deal marks the first time that Salon has had a job listing partner. It's also the first time that the Times Job Market is serving as the exclusive online recruitment provider for another Web site.
NYTimes.com/jobmarket had 675,000 unique users in April, according to company.
