By: E&P Staff Caspio, Inc. Mountain View, Calif., provider of an on-demand platform for Web applications, announced a customer relationship with The New York Times Co. Regional Media Group, publisher of 14 dailies.
Following Caspio-powered applications deployed by Florida's Sarasota Herald-Tribune, The Gainesville Sun and Ocala Star-Banner, The New York Times regional group is adopting Caspio Bridge as a Web database and application-building platform for its newspaper sites.
"This technology will allow us to create more searchable databases for our readers on a wide variety of topics," Group New Media Vice President Jeff Moriarty said in a statement.
Caspio Bridge aids in quickly deploying scalable online database applications without programming or software installation. Newspapers use Caspio Bridge to publish searchable databases such as home sales, school guides, and crime statistics.
