NYT CEO: 'We’ll Continue to Have a Newspaper 7 Days a Week for Many Years to Come'

The New York Times is launching a series of paid products beginning April 2nd, starting with a cheaper digital subscription package in the form of an app called NYT Now.

Speaking at the FT Digital Media Conference 2014, CEO of The New York Times Company, Mark Thompson, said NYT Now will be an express form of New York Times content optimised for the smartphone, will cost $8 for a 4-week subscription and is aimed at consumers interested in access to top stories “on the fly.”
