Posted
By: E&P Staff The New York Times Co. purchased the North Bay Business Journal, a 9,000-circ weekly publication that covers business in Sonoma, Napa, and Marin counties in California. The Times Co. also owns the area's Santa Rosa Press Democrat. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. W.B. Grimes & Co. represented the sellers in this transaction.

Ken Clark, publisher of the Journal who co-founded the paper with Randy Sloan in 1987, will remain publisher.

?We chose to work with the Press Democrat because we wanted to work with colleagues who will maintain the quality of our paper while also getting it into more hands,? Clark said in a statement. ?Our new colleagues bring resources we do not have and they share our commitment to making our great publication even better.
