'NYT' Elevates Ray Pearce

By: E&P Staff The New York Times announced that Ray Pearce, managing director for circulation, has been named vice president of circulation fulfillment services effective immediately. He replaces Roland Caputo who was recently named chief financial officer for the paper.

"Ray was instrumental in leading our national expansion efforts, including the development of our national print site expansion plan and increasing our distribution partnerships with local newspapers around the country," Marc Kramer, senior vice president of circulation for the paper, said in a statement.

In his new role, Pearce will continue to lead the team responsible for developing and managing the Times' nationwide home delivery distribution network, national wholesaler relationships, and the distribution of products from its 20 national print sites.

Pearce, 45, joined the Times in 1985 as assistant regional circulation manager in Washington, D.C.
