By: E&P Staff The New York Times is expanding it National Edition to several new markets in Ohio and Kentucky, including Dayton, Cincinnati, Louisville, and Lexington. The paper struck a deal with Cox Ohio Publishing, which owns the Dayton Daily News, to start printing the edition on Oct. 25 for weekday home delivery.
"We are continuing to execute against our plan to increase national circulation," said Scott Heekin-Canedy, president and general manager of the Times, in a statement. "The Times' latest arrangement with Cox Ohio Publishing is the first of several new initiatives slated for the next two years."
The Dayton Daily News' has been doing press runs for the Times' Sunday edition since 2001 and it's one of 20 locations throughout the United States that print the paper.
