By: E&P Staff The New York Times has covered him in its news pages but now it has hired recent college graduate Brian Stelter of TvNewser fame as its newest reporter, according to a memo from business editor Larry Ingrassia posted on Romenesko at www.poynter.org.
Stelter most recently appeared on the Times' radar back in November when it ran a profile about him and his influential TVNewser blog. The blog, which he started in 2004 during winter break, became a must-read for television executives, producers and publicists. Soon after he was writing it for Mediabistro.com.
He will continue writing about the media world for NYTimes.com and for the paper. He recently graduated Towson University where he earned a degree in mass communication.
