NYT.com Doubled Traffic by Going Free, Asserts Google

By: E&P Staff The Deal's Alain Sherter interviewed David Eun, Goggle's vice president of content, covering a wide range of subjects. Eun addressed the balance between content creators and distributors, and pay versus free models.

Eun asserted that since The New York Times opened up its Web site it doubled the amount of traffic it got from Google. The Financial Times did even better, at least at first, with a 100% surge in traffic from Google.
