By: (AP) The digital operations of two major newspapers,
The New York Times and the
Financial Times of London, announced an arrangement Monday to share news stories on their respective Web sites.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
The arrangement allows each site, NYTimes.com and FT.com, to use up to 10 stories from the other newspaper's site each day. The stories will be clearly marked as originating from the other site, and will be drawn from the business, international, and technology sections.
The New York Times also uses stories from CNET on the technology part of its Web site, and CBSMartketwatch.com provides news and financial information for the business section of the site.
The
Times used to have a relationship with the financial news and commentary site TheStreet.com that included a joint newsroom, but the two companies severed their ties last fall.
