NYTimes.com Kills Real Estate Blog 'The Walk Through'

By: E&P Staff The New York Times has announced that "The Walk Through," a real estate blog carried on its Web site NYTimes.com since November 2005, has officially been shuttered.

A final post on the site today said that the blog "had a good run, but we've decided to turn our focus to other parts of our real estate pages." It noted that the paper recently expanded its real estate listings and home finance center, and mentioned the special real estate magazine Key that was published last Sunday.

The news was not unexpected, as there had been no new posts on the site for over a month. Posts had declined steadily before that, with 58 in June, 20 in July, and 2 in August.
