NYTimes.com Names General Manager

By: E&P Staff The New York Times Co. has named Denise F. Warren general manager of NYTimes.com. Warren will take on this position in addition to her current role as senior vice president and chief advertising officer of The New York Times Media Group.

As general manager of NYTimes.com, Warren will coordinate all business operations for the Web site and will report to senior vice president for digital operations, Martin A. Nisenholtz. She will continue to manage advertising sales for The New York Times Media Group, working closely with president and general manager of the Times, Scott Heekin-Canedy.

"We look forward to Denise?s strong leadership and commitment to innovation as we continue to maximize the potential of NYTimes.com."

Warren earned a B.S. and Management degree from Tulane University in 1985 and achieved an M.B.A. degree in Communications and Media Management from Fordham University in 1992. Also a Certified Public Accountant, Warren joined the Times Company in 1988 as a financial analyst in the company?s Forest Products Group. She has also served as president of strategic planning for the Times and has held her current position with The New York Times Media Group since 2005.
