By: E&P Staff NYTimes.com, the Web site of The New York Times, on Wednesday posted a video interview with Democratic presidential hopeful Sen. John Kerry.
The video contains excerpts of the candidate's Feb. 24 inverview with the paper's editors and reporters. In the video, which is easily navigated and offers visitors the option of viewing either in high or low bandwidths, Kerry addresses such issues as leadership, Iraq, Haiti, same-sex marriages and his chances of winning the South.
On Tuesday, the Times' site carried a similar video interview with Kerry rival Democratic Sen. John Edwards. Both men have been campaigning in New York in advance of next Tuesday's primary in the state.
The videos are part of the Times' online roundup of campaign news, dubbed "Times on the Trail." The new offering, announced in early February, is put together by the newspaper's Washington bureau. The section includes insights, breaking news, related links and other political resources. Carl Hulse, the paper's congressional correspondent, is the lead reporter.
