NYTimes.com to Use Trumba to Promote Career, Auto Events

Posted
By: E&P Staff The New York Times has chosen Trumba Corporation to help publish and promote information from its automotive and career sites. The Trumba Connect solution is a group of online tools that organizations can use to increase event awareness, including a hosted, interactive Web calendar, as well as email and reporting services.

Trumba's system has worked with the Times to make the paper's online events calendars more interactive and highly-communicative, allowing users to find events in their areas of interest and in nearby geographic locations, and add those events to their own interactive calendars.

For the Times' auto section, the Automotive Events Calendar gives users a wealth of information about the auto industry and gives information about upcoming auto shows, auctions, and other events. For the Times' Job Market site a new Career Calendar feature tells about upcoming job fairs, networking events and resume workshops.

"With Trumba Connect, NYTimes.com has created an online hub of event information for the entire auto and career industries that far exceeds any conventional calendars and reinforces the power of active calendar services in truly connecting people to organizations? events,? said Jeremy Jaech, CEO of Trumba, in a statement.
