By: E&P Staff The New York Times, once again, tops all other newspaper Web sites with 13.7 million unique users in the month of April, according to the most recent Nielsen//NetRatings data.
USA Today, The Washington Post, and the Los Angeles Times all followed. But in April, the Orlando Sentinel jumped to the number five slot with 4.9 million unique users, as the former #5 in February, the subscription-based Wall Street Journal online, dropped to ninth with 3.4 million uniques.
NYTimes.com can also boast, for the month of April at least, that people spend more time on the site compared to other newspaper Web sites with users lingering an average of 34 minutes. The Atlanta-Journal Constitution?s Web site readers spend on average 31 minutes per month on the site, placing the newspaper behind the Times.
