Obit Reveals Suicide by State Official

By: A high-ranking official in the Wisconsin Justice Department has committed suicide.

According to an obituary in the Wisconsin State Journal newspaper, Craig Klyve, director of the agency's Bureau of Investigative Services, took his own life on Friday. He was 52.

He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Weise, an assistant attorney general within the Justice Department, three daughters, two stepdaughters and two grandchildren.

Klyve began his law enforcement career with the state Department of Corrections. He transferred to the Justice Department in 1985. He became a director in the agency's narcotics division before he moved into the Bureau of Investigative Services. He was a member of the National FBI Academy's 99th class.
