'OC POST' Launches New Auto Section

Posted
By: E&P Staff The new home-delivered tabloid OC POST from The Orange County (Calif.) Register launched a new weekly auto section on Friday called Drive.

The 12-page section wraps OC POST?s classified section and includes consumer tips, information on local auto events, bargains, dealership, and new automobile releases.

The tab will continue to publish classified auto ads every day, expect on Friday.

?We launched Drive to serve Orange County?s thriving car culture, and we?ve created a product with relevant features that appeal to both car owners and sellers,? said Debbie Holzkamp, publisher of the OC POST, in a statement. ?Its Friday distribution coincides with weekend car-shopping patterns, in the same way the New Homes section in the OC POST serves homebuyers and seller each Saturday."

The paper is backing up the new section with a 10-week marketing campaign that includes offers for ski lift tickets and other giveaways for test driving cars at participating dealerships.
