'Ocala (Fla.) Star-Banner' Names Exec. Editor

By: E&P Staff Robyn Tomlin has been named executive editor of the Ocala (Fla.) Star-Banner.

Tomlin, 34, most recently served as executive editor of the TimesDaily in Florence, Ala. She assumes her new post on April 11.

Tomlin began her newspaper career as an intern for the Cincinnati Enquirer and worked as a reporter for the North Hills News-Record and the Asheville Citizen Times before being promoted to city editor of the Asheville paper in 1999 and metro editor in 2000.

She left in 2002 to become managing editor in charge of day-to-day newsroom operations at the TimesDaily, and she became executive editor in June 2003.
