By: (AP) Employees of the Eden Daily News scattered when a deer barged through the front door of the newspaper office, jumping over desks and hitting a glass window before running out the same door.
During the brief commotion around noon Tuesday, the doe spread blood around the office from injuries she received and toppled a Christmas tree.
Advertising representative Mike Redman jumped across a counter when he saw the deer heading toward him. Redman eventually held open the door until the deer finished banging into office furniture and the window and escaped.
"It was pitiful," said ad representative Linda Kallam. "She couldn't comprehend that it was glass and she couldn't get out of it."
