By: E&P Staff Harris & Baseview, the publishing software division of MediaSpan, based in Melbourne, Fla., and Ann Arbor, Mich., sold a Jazbox system to The Courier of Findlay, Ohio.
A Harris NewsMaker editorial/pagination system user since 1996, the Courier is one of two dailies owned by Findlay Publishing Co., which also operates a commercial printing business and several radio stations.
Courier Information Systems Manager Jim Ford listed "ease of conversion," stability, graphics handling and use of Adobe InDesign as factors in the system's selection.
Courier writers and editors can uses Newsjaz and Adobe's InCopy, which matches InDesign's page workflows. Newsjaz workflow features, coupled with the Adobe applications, simplify pagination and allow the editorial staff to focus on content.
