By: E&P Staff Longtime Oklahoma journalist Leonard Jackson died Saturday in Norman at 86. He worked for almost half a century for Oklahoman and Oklahoma City Times as a reporter and editorial writer.
After his retirement, he continued to work part time as an editorial writer well into the 1990s, later working as a features writer for the Norman bureau.
In April, Jackson "moved into the Rivermont Retirement Home in Norman. While there, he continued to submit articles to The Oklahoman as a correspondent until a few months before his death," the newspaper reports.
He also wrote editorials for The Norman Transcript in the late 1960s.
