By: E&P Staff OneVision, Regensburg, Germany and Jersey City, N.J., is introducing Amendo, a software solution that provides automated, professional-quality image enhancement, including automated color correction.
Amendo is designed to reduce image-processing time by automatically adjusting color, tone and size of images with improved image quality, and reducing time to press by eliminating labor and time-intensive manual correction.
For better results, Amendo adjusts individual elements of an image as needed, not the entire image. Brightness, contrast, shadow, highlight and color are enhanced and sharpness is improved. After an image is optimized, users can compare the original and the enhanced images.
If manual intervention is desired, images can be exported into third-party applications or enhanced directly using OneVision's interactive software.
Amendo works with a browser-based front-end that allows monitoring, control and process automation. Client-server applications facilitate file routing and image history (including thumbnail before-and-after previews).
Amendo features easy incorporation into existing workflows, a simple user interface and easy installation and set up, with no specialized training, according to OneVision.
