By: E&P Staff Since launching its hyperlocal platform for publishers last summer, Outside.in has formed partnerships with The Miami Herald, Dow Jones Local Media Group, the New York Post, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, and Tribune Co. properties, including the Chicago Tribune, Chicago Breaking News, ChicagoNow, and Baltimore Sun.
New York-based Outside.in creates targeted Neighborhood News Pages for every city, town and neighborhood in a publisher's market. Publishers using the platform can customize hyperlocal news sections, add tagged maps, and select from aggregated news feeds in accordance with their editorial guidelines.
Outside.in now works with more than 100 publishers, providing consumers, publishers and bloggers tools that make neighborhood news and information easily accessible and widely available. Outside. In also has 4,000 local bloggers on its roster, and its traffic has risen to more than seven million monthly unique visitors on the Outside.in Network.
Monitoring all news, blogs and discussions on the Web, Outside.in dynamically maps them to its client-covered neighborhoods. Advertisers can take advantage of quality local advertising inventory.
