'Owatonna People's Press' Hires New Managing Editor

By: The Owatonna People's Press announced that it has hired the former managing editor of the Bozeman (Mont.) Daily Chronicle as its new managing editor.

Robert C. Gibson, 55, had worked at that newspaper for more than three years. Before that he worked for 20 years at the Billings Gazette in Montana as a reporter, photographer, editor and interactive media manager.

Owatonna publisher Ron Ensley said he was excited to have someone with Gibson's experience. The newspaper announced the hiring in its Sunday editions.

"Bob has a passion for good journalism and also has experience in online journalism," Ensley said. "He believes that the newspaper should be a reflection of the community and will work to ensure that the Press does."
