Palestinian-American Columnist Writing for Israeli Web Site

By: E&P Staff Palestinian-American writer Ray Hanania has started writing humor/satire columns for YnetNews.com -- a Web site owned by the same company that publishes Yedioth Ahronoth, Israel's largest newspaper.

"I don't think any Israeli news organization has ever regularly featured a Palestinian columnist, let alone one who writes humor." Hanania told E&P. "Given the tensions that continue to exist between Palestinians, Arabs, and Israelis, Jews, it's amazing we can sometimes even have a civil discussion, let alone share in some Palestinian-Jewish humor."

Hanania -- who writes a column for Creators Syndicate and also does standup comedy -- is married to a Jewish woman.
