'Palm Beach (Fla.) Post' GM Retires, Others Promoted

By: E&P Staff Lon Danielson, executive vice president and general manager of The Palm Beach (Fla.) Post, has retired. Danielson, who joined the newspaper in 1981, has served as executive vice president and general manager since 1990.

Charles Gerardi has been named named the Post's vice president and general manager. He most recently served as vice president of advertising.

Robb Olsen succeeds Gerardi as vice president of advertising. Olsen, who joined the newspaper in 2002, was director of classified advertising.

Bob Balfe has been promoted to vice president of operations, from vice president of production. He has held several positions in data processing and production.

Lex Stinchcomb is promoted to building operations director, from building superintendent.

Janice Griggs-Bates is promoted to production director, from production manager. She joined the Post's production department in 1973 and has held several management positions.
