By: Pauline Millard Most people understand how writers get their stories. It usually involves a lot of phone calls and sometimes wandering around aimlessly. Often following behind are the photographers, who have their own gauntlet to get through in order to do their jobs.
Reuters put together a
slick video about how their photographers got their shots at the Super Bowl. It's a behind-the-scenes look at photography at the big game, starting from arrival through media day to the final victory when everyone's running around helter skelter trying to get a good shot.
I think this was a great idea for a video, since sideline photographers, armed with their enormous cameras, are a staple at any game. The video romanticizes the job a bit and makes it seem a lot more glamorous than it probably is, but it's done well.
