PAXTON TO BUY MICHIGAN'S HERALD-PALLADIUM

By: Staff Reports Hollinger To Sell 31,700-Circulation Daily

Paducah, Ky.-based Paxton Media Group announced it has agreed to buy The Herald-Palladium in St. Joseph, Mich., from Hollinger International, for
an undisclosed price.

The 31,700-circulation daily would be the family-owned Paxton's 27th and
largest daily. Included in the agreed-on purchase are 13 area weeklies
in Michigan and Indiana.

The purchase would complement Paxton's papers in Michigan City, Ind.,
and New Buffalo, Mich.
