By: E&P Staff Minneapolis-based Publishing Business Systems announced that Andre Paquette is now chief technical officer and Clark Zumbach was promoted to advertising development vice president.
The company also hired Lynn Yawn as advertising sales vice president. Most recently sales vice president for Mactive Inc., Florida-based Yawn brings 37 years of experience at newspapers and newspaper service providers to PBS's MediaPlus Advertising solutions.
Paquette draws on 20 years of newspaper advertising and production experience "to define the company's technology roadmap and development strategy," according to a statement by PBS. Paquette earlier served as president of Informatel Software, which he founded in 1984 and grew from an accounting system to a suite of advertising solutions. PBS acquired Montreal-based Informatel in January of 2003.
"Andre excels at the practical application of technology and adapting it to solve the complex challenges faced by the newspaper industry," PBS President and CEO Steve Smith said in a statement.
Also based in Montreal, Zumbach will guide development and implementation of PBS MediaPlus Advsertising solutions. Previously director of customer support and responsible for initiating several solutions, including the PBS Online Customer Support Center, Zumbach has 15 years of experience in systems support and software development.
