By: E&P Staff Philadelphia Newspapers LLC will install the Oracle- and Windows-based DSI/Circulation, DSI/WebCirc and DSI/e-Solicitor systems from circulation software provider Data Sciences Inc., Laurel, Md., with an option to install Business Analytics at a future date.
"The DSI products will provide a strong platform of applications that will allow us to modernize the system and address new Circulation business opportunities in the future," Chief Information Officer Jeffrey Berger said in a statement.
In addition to its circulation system, the company also offers a Display Advertising management system, fully integrated WebCirc browser products, Business Analytics tools for circulation and financial analysis, Pitney Bowes Business Insight postal products, e-Solicitor for new orders acquired by solicitors (kiosk, crew, carrier, and telephone sales), RouteSmart's route-optimization software, and VoicePort's interactive speech recognition software.
