By: E&P Staff The international photojournalist collective VII struck a distribution deal today with The Associated Press. The agreement allows AP clients access to VII's photos, exclusive weekly topical picture story packages, and archives.

"This agreement with AP extends the work of VII to a new editorial market," said Gary Knight of VII in a statement.

The Paris-based VII, founded in 2001, is a group of nine independent photojournalists including Alexandra Boulat, Ron Haviv, Gary Knight, Antonin Kratochvil, Christopher Morris, James Nachtwey, John Stanmeyer, Lauren Greenfield, and Joachim Ladefoged. The collective mission is to "maximize the distribution of its output through all appropriate channels, and by this means to fund the production of innovative and diverse work."
