Pieces of Biggest Comic on eBay

Posted
By: Dave Astor "Lucky Cow" creator Mark Pett has been offering pieces of the "world's largest comic strip" for $25 each on eBay. Proceeds will benefit the Gentry High School art department in Indianola, Miss.

Students from that school helped assemble a 135x48-foot "Lucky Cow" comic last June after the Indianola-based Pett and his Maryland-based friend Norm Suchar came up with the idea. The feat was accomplished by enlarging fragments of the strip onto 1,508 pieces of poster board. Guinness World Records recently proclaimed the comic as the biggest.

People buying pieces of the strip on eBay also received a complete normal-sized version signed by the Universal Press Syndicate cartoonist (http://www.markpett.com).

"Lucky Cow" takes a behind-the-scenes look at a fast-food restaurant of the same name. Its clients include the Denver Rocky Mountain News, Detroit News, and Minneapolis Star Tribune.
