Pioneer Press is offering buyouts to 24 employees in its circulation and editorial departments.
Pioneer Press Publisher Harold Higgins said the offer was made last month to a group of workers who have until the end of this month to decide whether to accept or reject it.
The latest cost-cutting effort comes months after 52 workers took similar offers to leave the paper. Explaining the need for the additional cutback, Higgins said, "Business continues to be weak."
