By: E&P Staff The Saint Paul Pioneer Press announced today gains in circulation, both for the Sunday and daily editions, for the six-month period ending March 28.
The paper filed with the Audit Bureau of Circulations a publisher's statement declaring that Sunday numbers are up 1,510 copies or 0.6% for a total of 253,367 copies and combined Monday-Saturday is up 323 or 0.17% for a total of 189,458 copies.
"The Pioneer Press' circulation growth further assures our position as the No. 1 newspaper in the Twin Cities East Metro area," said Publisher Par Ridder in a statement. "The newspaper is poised for further growth, with revamped zoned editions that provide local content -- both news and advertising -- every day."
Ridder, who became publisher of the Pioneer Press in early March, partially attributes the spurt in circulation to interest in recruitment and real estate specialty publications CareerBuilder Extra and HomeSeller West.
