By: E&P Staff Ever wonder what your favorite cartoonists drew when they were in school? Now you can find out.

The ToonSeum, located inside the Children?s Museum of Pittsburgh, has opened two new exhibitions this month. Half its gallery space is dedicated to ?Off the Wall and on the Fridge: The Childhood Drawings of Famed Cartoonists,? which chowcases the childhood musings of Charles M. Schulz, Jim Davis, Lynn Johnston, and many others, offering a unique look into the early artistic musings of these famed creators.

Featured in the gallery?s other half is ?Animated Icons,? an exhibit devoted to original production cels and sketches of iconic characters throughout the history of animation including Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Donald Duck, and Yogi Bear. Both shows run through Feb. 1.

?We all started out drawing on our bedroom walls, or with drawings at school that ended up on the fridge at home,? said ToonSeum Executive Director Joe Wos. ?This is a great opportunity for young artists to see how their heroes drew when they were kids and for families to share memories of their favorite characters.?

Entry to the ToonSeum is free with paid entry to the Children?s Museum. Tickets for adults are $10, Children under 18 and seniors pay $8, and kids under 2 are free. Visit www.toonseum.org or call 412-325-1060 for additional information.
