Not only have we learned that the Plain Dealer/Northeast Ohio Media Group takes marching orders from high-level politicians, now we've learned that they're also beholden to one of the city's wealthiest businessmen - Dan Gilbert. The Cleveland Scene this week published a lengthy feature story on Cleveland Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert, who is also the CEO and founder of Quicken Loans, and one snippet of that piece that really caught our eye was the assertion that the Plain Dealer recently forced one of its columnists to pen an apology letter to Gilbert after calling him out on sending out late night, drunken letters, including that infamous letter to LeBron James.
