HARRISBURG, Pa. (September 9, 2013) — The Pennsylvania NewsMedia Association is pleased to announce the launch of its “Why Newspapers” web page, a new section of the PNA website that highlights the strength of newspapers in Pennsylvania and beyond.

Newspapers in Pennsylvania and across the country are thriving with new innovation, an engaged audience and more readers than at any time in history. The purpose of the “Why Newspapers” web page is to reinforce this message and to help our members spread the word.

Among the resource materials available on the site, www.panewsmedia.org/whynewspapers, are promotional ads, marketing and sales information, white papers and research.

PNA will continue to add to this section, and any questions or ideas for future content can be directed to communications@pa-news.org.

The PNA, founded in 1925, is the nonprofit trade association for print and online media in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Its mission is to advance the business interests of Pennsylvania news media companies and to promote a free and independent press. It has more than 300 newspaper and media members, including daily, weekly, and college newspapers and online publications.
