Political Science Journal Focuses On Editorial Cartooning

Posted
By: E&P Staff Editorial cartooning is the subject of the latest issue of "PS: Political Science & Politics," the journal of the American Political Science Association.

Included are interviews with two Pulitzer Prize-winning creators: Ann Telnaes of CartoonArts International/New York Times Syndicate and Clay Bennett of The Christian Science Monitor and The Christian Science Monitor News Service. The latter interview was conducted by editorial cartoonist Jimmy Margulies of The Record in Hackensack, N.J., and King Features Syndicate.

Other articles in the journal cover the state of editorial cartooning, the controversial Muhammad cartoons, popular culture in cartoons, college cartooning, and many other topics.

Guest editor is Kent Worcester, a Marymount Manhattan College professor whose cartoon credits include contributing to The Comics Journal.

The "PS" cartoon issue was mentioned today on The Comics Reporter blog.
