'Politico' Appoints Vice President, GM

By: Joe Strupp Kim Kingsley, who has served as executive director of media and special projects for Politico, has been promoted to the new post of executive vice president and general manager, according to a memo from Executive Editor Jim VandeHei.

"It's a broad title that reflects her broad role here. She will continue to oversee our media and special projects division," reads the memo sent today to staffers. "But in addition, Kim will oversee all of our daily and long-term operations and manage the collaborative efforts of the editorial, business and technical teams. Kim has our full support and backing in streamlining and sharpening our entire operation."
